Sunset Rainbow

We had an ongoing day of rain and thunderstorms today, June 22, 2008.


At sunset (9:00pm) we were blessed with the most beautiful rainbow.


The small portions you see are just a glimpse of the wonder I was privileged to witness. It was a complete double rainbow that filled the sky with a pinkish orange glow.

IT JUST FILLS ME WITH JOY.

How ironic, through the criss-cross of wires and technology one can still find beauty.

As some may know my favorite flower is the daisy.

My daisy garden doubled this year and gets fuller every year.

Don't they just make you want to smile.

I am gathering information on a butterfly garden next year.

Hi All,

We had tornado warnings to the west of us this evening and I caught the sun trying to keep her rays out as long a she could, just squeezing through the clouds.

Our skies got very black but we never got the nasty stuff. Thank God.

Crochet project

Hi All,

I counted my unfinished quilting projects today and I came up with four. I did finish an afghan I started last year. Here is a photo of it.

I have set a goal to finish these quilts in two months and post photos of my accomplishments.

We do have a grand baby coming in January so I will need to focus on getting these things done.

We are painting the living room this weekend. We find as we age, this task that was so easy to do just 10 years prior, it is not so easy. Crawling around on the floor and climbing ladders has become more of a challenge.

My newest creation.

Hello All,

Here is the newest creation I made for a Chinese raffle we had at our church. I got the idea from a book titled, Fantasies & Flowers (origami in fabric for quilters), by Kumiko Sudo.

Do not be intimidated by the details of any quilt or wall hanging you might attempt. It is your creation and you can change images to your likings. Give it a try sometime it can be very rewarding.
